The team captain by Lynn Deas, lying sixth at the start of play on Monday, moved up to second after the first final session in the Marsha May Sternberg Women’s Board-a-Match Teams and won the event with a 76.92% game in the second final session.

Deas played with Beth Palmer. Their teammates were Janice Seamon-Molson and Tobi Sokolow.

Second place went to the Phyllis Fireman squad, leaders after the first two session on Sunday. Fireman played with Shannon Cappelletti, Benedicte Cronier, Sylvie Willard, Marion Michielsen and Meike Wortel.

The winners rallied from sixth place to move into second, trailing the Fireman team by 2.25 boards. Fireman had 16 out of 26 in the second final session, but Deas raced past them with 20 wins.
