Twenty-one teams will vie for a chance to represent the country as USA2 at the 2015 Bermuda Bowl. The U.S. Bridge Championship is being hosted by the U.S. Bridge Federation in Schaumburg (Chicago) IL, May 8 through May 17. The victor will join USA1 at the prestigious world team championships in Chennai, India later this year.

The 2015 USBC opens with a two-day round-robin to reduce 18 teams to 13, followed by 120-board, head-to-knockout matches. Three teams – DIAMOND (John Diamond, Brian Platnick, Eric Greco, Geoff Hampson, Kevin Bathurst and Justin Lall), HAMMAN (Bob Hamman, Roger Lee, Ross Grabel, Howard Weinstein, Ron Rubin and Peter Weichsel) and FLEISHER (Martin Fleisher, Chip Martel, Ishmael DelMonte, Brad Moss, Michael Rosenberg and Chris Willenken) – have byes to the round of 16.

The USA1 spot belongs to Nick Nickell’s squad (Ralph Katz, Jeff Meckstroth, Eric Rodwell, Steve Weinstein and Bobby Levin), winners of the 2014 USBC.
