Catch a ride to the Marriott
ACBL will provide a complimentary shuttle to/from Hilton and Marriott Wardman Park for heavily attended games. The shuttle will run 9 a.m.-1 p.m. (starting at the Hilton) and 10:30 p.m.-2:30 a.m. (starting at the Marriott). The pick-up will be every 20 minutes at the following locations:

Parking at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park is $28.00 daily for hotel guests. Bring the kids along!
NABC Child Care Services are provided during the afternoon and evening sessions for the first Friday through the second Sunday including the national and regional events on the second Sunday. Special arrangements may be made for Morning KOs and Fast Pair events. Dinner and after hour sessions are also available.
The caregiver/child ratio is one caregiver for every three-five children (depending on the ages). The children’s ages range from 3 months to 10 years of age. Additionally, there is a “Junior Sitter Program” for children 11-13. Babies three months to one year require a one-to-one ratio.
Age-appropriate toys, games, books, activities, computer programs, music, arts and crafts, dramatic play and movies are provided. Field trips are planned throughout the week. There is a Pizza Party between sessions on Thursday and a Sleepover Party on the second Saturday. There are also bridge lessons and play prior to and during the evening sessions for those children interested in learning the game.
The cost is $25 per (bridge) session for the first two children and $40 per (bridge) session for three-four children. Babies three months to one year are $40 per (bridge) session.

Taxis are plentiful and easy-to-hail downtown and at the airports, and offer a convenient way to get around the city. Credit cards are accepted in all cabs by city mandate. It is standard to tip the driver about 15-20% of the fare, plus $1-2 per bag if the driver helps you with luggage. Please note that all fares are subject to change. Sample taxi fare between downtown and Ronald Reagan National Airport – DCA is $30, Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) is $60 and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) is $88.
Washington DC Taxi Fares
- Minimum taxi fare is $3.25.
- The mileage charge is $0.27 per 1/8 mile.
- Each additional passenger is $1.00.
- A luggage charge may be charged of $.50 per item placed in the trunk.
- Surcharge for each trip originating at the Reagan National Airport taxi stand is $2.50.
- Phone dispatch fee is $2.00.
- Dismissal without use (after cab has arrived) is $1.50.
There is a $25 per hour surcharge for waiting.
Metro and Buses
Washington DC has a subway and bus system to get to/from the airport and get around the city. For more information including fares and schedules, please click here. The best way to get across town and to the suburbs of Maryland and Virginia is by Metro. The Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority is relatively clean and safe. To find the Metro stations, look for the tall brown columns with the large “M”. The Woodly Park stop is right at the host hotel and is on the Red Line. The Airport Shuttle
Go Airport Express offers daily, door-to-door service to/from BWI (Baltimore Washington International), IAD (Washington Dulles) and DCA (Ronald Reagan National) Airports Amtrak-BWI, Amtrak Penn-Station-Baltimore and Union Station-Washington and from homes, offices, hotels and conference centers in the Washington DC area. They begin operations during the early morning hours and depart approximately every 20 minutes from each terminal.

Ronald Reagan National Airport
To locate GO The Airport Shuttle at Ronald Reagan National Airport, just walk outside. Look for us directly in front of your baggage claim area. Please note: if a second curb is in front of you, crossover to it and look for us there. You can update us by calling 1-800-776-0323 too.
BWI Airport Shuttle – Baltimore-Washington International Airport
There are two pick-up locations. For Southwest Airlines go to Door 6, go to Outer Island curb and look for the white van with a green GO. For all other Airlines go to Door 11, go to Outer Island curb and look for the white van with a green GO. 410-381-2772
SuperShuttle – Washington DC
SuperShuttle, also known as the “Blue Van” airport shuttle, offers shared-ride ground transportation to and from all three Washington DC area airports. You can book your reservation in advance and save the time and hassle of paying when you board the vehicle. Reservations are required for transportation to the airport. Prepayment is required when making a reservation. For travel from the airport to your home, office or hotel, reservations are suggested, but not required. You may book same day service by visiting the reservation desk at the airport or by approaching a blue-shirted SuperShuttle representative in the ground transportation area of the airport.

Ticket Counter Locations and Hours
- National (DCA) Terminal a ticket counter is located across from baggage claim 1A. Open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Terminal B ticket counter is located in the baggage claims, between arrival doors 4 and 5. Open daily from 6 a.m. to 1a.m. Terminal C ticket counter is located in the baggage claims, between arrival doors 8 and 9. Open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Dulles (IAD) ticket counter is located on the lower level just before the East and West exits. Open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.
- Baltimore-Washington (BWI) ticket counter for concourses A & B is located by door # 2 in lower level, baggage claim area. Open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. For concourses C, D & E, the counter is located by Door # 9 in lower level, baggage claim area. Open daily from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m.
